Accessing specialized surgical care can be an insurmountable challenge in Tanzania’s remote communities. At St. Benedict Hospital in Ndanda, our surgical camp provided this essential care to patients, giving them not just medical relief but renewed hope for the future.
With support from RAAH Investments and in partnership with the Pindi Chana Foundation, our camp at St. Benedict brought together a team of skilled professionals, including Dr. Karpal Singh and Dr. Romanus Mkepule. Over two focused days, the team performed complex procedures for patients who had been living with conditions that affected their quality of life and their sense of dignity. One patient, a 7-year-old who had endured a painful chin swelling for over a year, underwent a crucial biopsy, which now offers her a healthier future. Another patient, a 19-year-old woman suffering from osteomyelitis, found relief as our team addressed her chronic pain and infection. Each patient’s journey is a testament to the impact of compassionate, specialized care.
The aim of our foundation is to alleviate poverty among underprivileged residents
of Tanzania, enabling them to lead full, meaningful, and dignified lives.
